EXEN EKCA external handheld vibrator
The EXEN EKCA External Handy Vibrator is applied to the outside of formwork rather than inserted into concrete. It transmits strong mechanical vibration through the formwork into the concrete, making it particularly suitable for finishing inclined and exposed surfaces of columns and walls, including areas where trapped air is difficult to remove.
The die-cast aluminium vibrating section is lightweight and durable, making it easy to manoeuvre on platforms and demanding sites. A special rubber flange and rubber isolators between the motor and handle reduce vibration in both the body and handle. The version with an added steel bracket increases the effective vibrating area.
Insulated sleeves on internal wiring provide double insulation. Auto-stop carbon brushes prevent poor contact and commutator damage caused by brush wear. Double dust filters keep mortar out of the motor, while an improved exhaust outlet reduces operating noise.
